Paula M. Luciani
Founder
Paula M. Luciani is the Founder of Charter Research & Investment Group, Inc. A graduate of Skidmore College, Paula began her career as a security analyst and portfolio manager for two private families. Prior to founding Charter, Paula was the head of investment research for a Connecticut-based brokerage firm. Throughout her career, Paula has been passionate about protecting her clients' interests and helping to de-mystify the complex world of investing. She believes her clients’ success is more important than her own and has never wavered from this belief. While retirement has allowed Paula to further her lifelong interest in philanthropy as well as continue her pursuit to “make par”, she remains a trusted advisor and confidant to the team at Charter.
Patrick J. Clark
President
Patrick J. Clark, Principal & Chief Investment Strategist, joined Charter Research & Investment Group, Inc. in 1993 fresh out of college. Patrick is a graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in history and earned an MBA from the University of Connecticut. Over the past 25 years, Patrick, along with Paula, helped build Charter into the company it is today. Currently, Patrick is a member and Secretary of the Town of Trumbull’s Pension Board. Patrick lives in Trumbull with his wife and two daughters. When not shuttling between his daughters’ activities, Patrick enjoys biking (road not mountain), tennis (hacker), and genealogy (proud 2nd generation Irishman and Hungarian).
Michael J. Grennan, CFA
Vice President
Michael J. Grennan, CFA joined Charter Research & Investment Group, Inc. as a portfolio manager & senior securities analyst. Mike’s experience includes investment research and client management at Kreitler Financial, Rogers Casey, and Brown Brothers Harrison. He is a graduate of Fairfield University and earned the designation of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mike lives in Trumbull with his wife and two teenage daughters. He is an active member of the community having served on the boards of several charitable and civic organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, boating and ice hockey.
William H. Dunn
Senior Securities Analyst
William H. Dunn is a senior investment analyst and joined the Charter Research & Investment Group, Inc. team in 2003. Bill’s previous experiences include research investment analysis and portfolio management, having worked in the investment industry for Wright Investors Service, First Union Bank and State Street Bank. A graduate of Norwich University, he earned an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Bill and his wife live in Fairfield with their son and daughter. Bill has served as vice-chair of the Osborn Hill School Building Committee and is a strong advocate for special education. Bill is also an avid sports fan. In 1996, he witnessed Dwight “Doc” Gooden’s “no hitter” against the Seattle Mariners.
Allyson M. Barker
Operations & Client Services
Allyson M. Barker has been a member of the Charter Research & Investment Group, Inc. team since 2009 and is responsible for back office operations and client services. Prior to joining Charter, Allyson worked with several local small businesses where she acquired solid organizational and interpersonal skills. Allyson’s “can do” personality embodies the level of client service Charter prides itself on. Allyson is the proud parent of a UConn honor graduate. She and her son reside in Stratford.
